What (Information from 2024): The charming waterfront village of Steveston in the city of Richmond slips into full-on festive mode with a multi-week menu of family-friendly (and often free) holiday events, activities and selfie-ready illuminations. Don't miss the holiday displays and free kids programming at the Winter Tram; the Festival of Trees at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery; delightful Songs in the Snow carol performances; the fun-tastic Holiday Dog Parade and much more. A highlight for many families will take place on December 8 when Santa arrives in the village by boat before travelling through the streets on a horse-drawn carriage. While you're here, warm up at some of the local restaurants and polish off the remainder of your Christmas gift shopping at some of Steveston's unique boutiques.
