Steveston Festival of Trees
What: One of the Lower Mainland's best historic attractions at any time of year, the Cannery once again slips into sparkling holiday mode for the season by hosting the charming Steveston Festival of Trees. Dozens of trees are on display, each splendidly decorated by local organizations trying to outshine each other (entries in recent years have included a car-themed tree from the Lions Club and a treat-themed one from Sinfully the Best chocolate shop). Wrap-up warmly––the Cannery is situated on the Fraser River and this is a chilly time of year to visit––and give yourself plenty of time to explore the evocative museum exhibits and the excellent onsite gift shop here.
