Steveston Festival of Trees
What: One of the Lower Mainland's best historic attractions at any time of year, the Cannery will once again slip into sparkling Yuletide form for the holiday season by hosting the charming Steveston Festival of Trees. Dozens of trees will be on display, each splendidly decorated by local organizations trying to outshine each other (last year's included a car-themed entry from the Lions Club and a treat-themed one from Sinfully the Best chocolate shop). Unlike other local Christmas attractions in 2020, there is no need to book your entry ahead of time, but social distancing will be practiced on-site and mask-wearing is strongly recommended. Wrap-up warmly as well: the Cannery is situated on the Fraser River and this is a chilly time of year to visit.
When: December 1 to 24, 2020 (10am to 5pm daily)
Where: Gulf of Georgia Cannery, 12138 4th Avenue, Steveston Village, Richmond
Cost: Adults $11.90; seniors (65+) $10.20; youth (17 and under) free. Note: admission is by donation on December 6, 13 & 20
