Jingle Bell Teas at London Farm
What is it? A much-loved Christmas season activity among in-the-know locals, book far head for this delightful afternoon tea/high tea holiday happening at Richmond's charming London Farm heritage attraction. You'll be treated to an utterly delicious array of house-baked scones and treats (make sure you sample their famous farm-made jam with whipped cream on your scone) as well as a pot of aromatic London Lady tea served in delicate china cups. (FYI: the one-day-only Jingle Bell High Tea option includes sandwiches in addition to the regular Afternoon Tea menu). The small, antique-lined dining room will make you feel like you've stepped back in time to Christmases past, but be sure to save time to explore the rest of the museum-like farmhouse––you'll learn all about the fascinating pioneering family that called this place home more than a century ago. NOTE: This year's Jingle Bell Teas have now sold out. However, London Farm is still open on weekends throughout December (10am to 4pm) and is well-worth a visit. Admission is free and the farmhouse is fully decorated for the season. The gift shop is also open on weekends, and it's a great place to pick up some of their blended teas and house-made jams.
