Christmas at Canada Place

What: The seasonal shenanigans at downtown's sail-shaped waterfront landmark have been luring festive-minded locals and visitors for more than 30 years. Returning favourites in 2019 include the strollable Avenue of Christmas Trees; the 15-foot-high moose-shaped light sculpture; the holiday-hued illuminations dancing across the sails themselves; and one of the city's best reminders of yesteryear Christmases: the festive window displays from the old Woodward's Department Store. Save plenty of time to check out these charming animated dioramas, including beady-eyed swivelling geese, skinny-legged Victorian shoppers and a host of faintly malevolent-looking elves.
