Winter Tram

Tram 6.jpeg

What (from 2022): The pavilion housing Steveston's storied Interurban Tramcar 1220––which used to trundle here from Vancouver back in the day––has been fully decorated for the holiday season. Located at the corner of Moncton Street and No 1. Road, the gabled building is adorned with illuminations, and its exterior garden has a holiday-themed selfie station. Step inside and you'll discover the beautifully restored tram, with its bright red colour scheme perfect for Christmas season photos. You'll also find a special display of Steveston heritage sites expertly constructed from Lego, new interactive displays about the history of local interurban transit and the chance for you (and your kids) to climb aboard and take a seat in the tram's glowing interior. Speaking of kids, there's also a new conductor dress-up corner, free sleigh bell craft activities and drop-in readings of The Polar Express on December 3 and December 11 (between 1pm and 3pm).
