Winter Tram

Winter Tram in Steveston, British Columbia.

What: Metro Vancouver’s hidden gem heritage attraction transforms into a charming, admission-free holiday hot spot for the 2025 season––and it’s the perfect choice for families as well as nostalgia fans. You can climb aboard the festively decorated and beautifully restored century-old tramcar and peruse exhibits that bring to life the region’s extensive yesteryear transit tram system. Kids will love dressing-up as a junior tram conductor and diving into the winter-themed Scavenger Hunt (look out for Hamm the Pig!), and there will also be special readings of The Polar Express on board the tram (December 6 and December 14 at 2pm, 2:40pm and 3:20pm). But that's not all: the popular annual display of LEGO creations depicting local landmarks is also back this year––check it out in the tram pavilion window. And consider dropping by at 4pm on November 30 for the village's official tree-lighting ceremony––complete with entertainment, light refreshments and the chance to meet Santa himself!
