WinterFest
What: Head to the Museum of Surrey in Cloverdale for a full array of cost-free holiday activities for all the family. That includes scavenger hunts (from November 22 to December 22); a Merry Makers weekend with crafts and search-for-Santa activities (December 13 and December 14); and the much-anticipated stɑl'əw̓ Indigenous Craft Fair (December 6), where you'll find brilliant artisan-crafted gift items for everyone on your pressie list. For many visitors, the star attraction of WinterFest every year is the Cloverdale Christmas Tree Festival, where more than thirty local businesses compete to produce the best-decorated tree. You can judge (and vote) for the best ones as you check them out in all their glittering, shimmering and sometimes quirky glory. Save time to explore the museum while you're here; it's a great place to bring kids and areas such as the Indigenous Hall, Textile Centre and Surrey Stories Gallery are well worth exploring.
