Vivaldi Chamber Choir: Echoes of December

What is it? (2025 reference information) A feast of brilliantly curated, festive-forward classical works, the centrepiece of this year’s Vivaldi Chamber Choir holiday concert will be Ottorino Respighi’s immensely beautiful “Lauda per la natività del Signore” (“Laud to the Nativity”). Sung in Italian, accompanied by celebrated pianist Karen Lee-Morlang and featuring soprano, alto and tenor solos, this soul-stirring piece is a harmonically rich presentation of the Christmas story. It will be bookended by John Rutter and Gabriel Fauré choral gems as well as folk, Celtic and contemporary works––plus a fun twist on a familiar holiday song.
