VanDusen Botanical Garden: Festival of Lights
What: One of Vancouver's most popular festive lights attractions, has now been cancelled for 2020.
Here's what they were planning this year: One of Vancouver's most popular Christmas lights displays is back in 2020, transforming the city's main botanical garden attraction into a stroll-worthy winter wonderland of one million twinkling lights––complete with Covid capacity reductions and a full range of additional safety measures (face masks are recommended and the pathways will be one-way). The trick to visiting this year? Book as early as possible to ensure entry (tickets will be available from early November). Once you've snagged your admission, be sure to wrap up warmly for your visit as you weave around the sparkling, pond-centered gardens. Keep in mind that some features will not be running at the Festival of Lights this year, including the carousel, visits with Santa and the dancing light show. All timed-entry tickets must be purchased online in advance––there will be none available at the gate––and visitors will have 45 minutes to complete their visit.
