St. Paul's Hospital Lights of Hope

What: Downtown Vancouver's favourite festive light display is an eye-popping adornment on the front of St. Paul's Hospital: more than 10km and 100,000 bulbs strung into artful Yuletide shapes and patterns that are guaranteed to add a warming glow to your stroll along Burrard Street. A team of dozens of volunteers takes six weeks to create this twinkling extravaganza and this year's run starts on November 19 with a special online-only switch-on event. Can't make it to this year's display? There's also a continual live stream of the lights online so you can enjoy them throughout the festive period without leaving home. Marking its 23rd year in 2020, keep in mind that this is also the hospital foundation's biggest annual fundraiser––give generously, if you can, via this link.

When: November 19, 2020 to January 4, 2021

Where: St. Paul's Hospital, 1081 Burrrad Street, Vancouver and online

Cost: Free (but please donate to the hospital foundation's fund)
