Royal Winnipeg Ballet's Nutcracker (2026)

What is it? The Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s sumptuous, iconic and richly polished production of Tchaikovsky's magical masterwork returns to downtown Vancouver in a must-see touring production hosted by Ballet BC. You'll be thrilled by the glittering, handcrafted costumes; the grand and highly artistic staging; and the consummate dancing from performers at the very top of their game––from one of the oldest and most celebrated professional ballet companies in North America. But as well as thoroughly enjoying the skill and creativity on stage, you'll also be transported to a snow-dusted fairytale realm alongside our hero Clara as she encounters Toy Soldiers, the Evil Mouse King and a colourful host of strange and beguiling characters along the way. Be sure to book ahead, though: there is a limited number of performances to choose from
