Robson Square
Ice Skating
What: A charming reminder of what every small-town Canadian used to do at Christmastime, the subterranean space near the Vancouver Art Gallery entrance is transformed into a bustling little ice rink every winter; a perfect family-friendly activity if you have kids you need to tire out before bedtime. If you have your own skates, use of the rink is free (arrive off-peak to avoid the crowds); if not, skates can be rented (free helmet included). There will also be free live entertainment on many evenings this year (usually from 6pm to 9pm).

When: Daily throughout December, 2024 (exact dates and times to be confirmed)

Where: Robson Square, 800 Robson Street, Vancouver

Cost: Free with own skates; rentals also available
