Bright Nights in Stanley Park

(& Train Ride)

What: Marking its 22nd year in 2019, this family-friendly seasonal tradition combines a magical, walk-through winter wonderland of three million festive lights with a glittering Christmas-themed miniature train ride between the decorated trees (watch our for live performers en route). The first element is free but donations to the BC Professional Fire Fighters' Burn Fund are highly encouraged. There's a small charge for the train rides but be sure to book ahead. It can get very crowded here, so consider arriving off-peak or earlier in the season. Photos with Santa are also available and hot drinks and food trucks are on hand to warm you up.

When: November 28, 2019 to January 1, 2020 (hours vary; closed December 25)

Where: Near the bus loop in Stanley Park, Vancouver

Cost: Donations of at least $5 are suggested for the Train Plaza; tickets for the train ride are an additional $6-$12
