What (Information from 2023): Gather the family and head to Granville Island for this fresh, ingenious and wickedly funny version of Snow White, presented by the city's beloved Carousel Theatre for Young People. You'll find two brilliantly creative, high-energy actors embodying every single character of the classic Brothers Grimm fairytale––from the malicious queen to the handsome prince to pure-hearted Snow White herself––plus a soundtrack from a multi-talented onstage musician playing fiddle, mandolin, accordion and more. From an acclaimed script originally commissioned for the Minneapolis Children’s Theatre Company, this show has been performed to delighted audiences at theatres throughout North America––and this is your big chance to see it in Vancouver! Looking to add some extra fun to your visit? Theatregoers are encouraged to dress up as their favourite fairytale characters at the 4pm performances on December 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30.
