Shipyards Christmas Festival

What: Carollers plus free coffee and hot chocolate will keep you warmly entertained as you dive into North Van's Christmas spirit at this ever-popular family-friendly event. There's everything from lantern-creating to gingerbread-making to keep you busy, but don't miss a visit to Santa's workshop after the mayor lights the city's official Christmas tree at 5pm. The fun continues until 7pm and you can also check out the artisan stalls inside the Pipe Shop building for some additional Christmas pressie ideas. New this year: a six-storey, 16-car Ferris wheel has been added to the festive proceedings. Aalso consider arriving early to check out North Van's sparkling new Polygon Gallery.
