Polar Express

What: One of the most magical activities you can do with any Christmas-loving kid (or adult), especially if they love the Tom Hanks-voiced Polar Express movie. Hop aboard the West Coast Railway Heritage Park's real-life train––with its costumed interpreters (singing hobo included)––and enjoy your cookies and hot chocolate while awaiting your arrival at the North Pole, where Santa greets you alongside rosy-cheeked Mrs Claus. Stick around after your 50-minute train trip: the park is decorated for the season, with twinkling lights and festive train set displays. Be sure to book early, though: this activity is extremely popular.

When: November 23, 24 & 30 and December 1, 7, 8, 14 & 15, 2019

Where: West Coast Railway Heritage Park, Squamish

Cost: Tickets $39 to $59
