The Nutcracker: Tchaikovsky Meets Ellington

What: Think you know the music from The Nutcracker well? Think again when you join Symphony 21 for this revelatory festive concert. Divided into two halves, you'll hear a pitch-perfect performance of Tchaikovsky's classic 'Nutcracker Suite' in all its orchestral grandeur. But you'll also be treated to a full big band rendition of Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn's singularly amazing arrangements of the Nutcracker––complete with some of Vancouver's leading jazz musicians. A great way to ease into the Christmas season with a unique Vancouver holiday show.
