What (Information from 2023): A highly popular shopping destination at any of time of year, there's another reason to visit waterfront Granville Island during the festive season: a cornucopia of sparkling illuminations that dot the area like oversized baubles and bring the island's trees to life with garlands of shimmering mini-lights. Don't spend all your time snapping selfies, though. Explore the artisan stores and studio spaces along Railspur Alley and in the Net Loft and save time for a visit to the Public Market where gift ideas and tasty treats (hot chocolate included) await. Parking is free from 6pm onwards.
