Early Music Vancouver:

Handel's Messiah

What: Following sold-out performances in 2017, Early Music Vancouver is back with a unique, not-to-be-missed production of Handel's celebrated festive-season treat. The spectacular concert––led by revered Toronto-based conductor Ivars Taurins––combines the soaring forces of the Pacific Baroque Orchestra, Vancouver Cantata Singers and four internationally acclaimed vocalists along with EMV's thrilling signature approach: playing historic works on period instruments to channel the spirit and style in which they were originally conceived. If you think you've heard Messiah before, you're in for a magical, spine-tingling delight. Keen to learn more about Handel's miraculous work as well as this particular performance? Arrive early for a pre-concert talk by Taurins and more at 7:15pm.

When: November 30 (8pm), 2019

Where: Chan Centre for the Performing Arts, University of British Columbia, Vancouver

Cost: Tickets from $18
