East Van Panto:
Alice in Wonderland

What: One of Vancouver's favourite festive shows, the beloved East Van Panto is back on stage in 2021 at the historic York Theatre. Jam-packed with music and jokes, this brilliant, family-friendly version of Alice in Wonderland fuses high-energy panto traditions with lots of local references to create a whip-smart, highly original production. Travel with Alice as she follows the White Rabbit onto the SkyTrain and ends up in Grandview-Woodlands Wonderland, encountering characters such as a busking Cheshire Cat, a cannabis connoisseur caterpillar and that arch baddie The Queen of Hearts. There are two ways to experience this year's show: in-person at the theatre or from the comfort of your home via online viewing.
