Dolly Parton's
Smoky Mountain
Christmas Carol

What: Vancouver's Arts Club Theatre Company brings its historic Stanley Theatre venue back to sparkling life this Christmas with this heartwarming in-person production––a brilliant adaptation of the Dickens Yuletide classic fused with toe-tapping songs by Dolly Parton. Making its Canadian premiere (following its debut in Boston in 2019), the production is set in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee in the 1930s where avaricious mine-owner Ebenezer Scrooge squeezes every last drop of money from his business operations and his unfortunate workers. But with Christmas approaching, he is visited by a series of spirits who offer him the unique chance to change his miserly ways and transform his life. A cast of 13 actors and six musician bring this show to life––and it's sure to be one of the hottest tickets in town during the 2021 holiday season.
