Vivaldi Chamber Choir: A Classical Christmas
What (Information from 2024): The perfect way to ease yourself into the holidays with a smile, join the ever-friendly folks at Vivaldi Chamber Choir for their delightful Christmas concert in the lovely West Point Grey United Church. Sit back and enjoy a feast of brilliantly curated, festive-forward classical works ranging from the 14th to the 17th centuries––and including gorgeous original pieces by Peter Warlock, William Mathias, Healy Willan and more. Alongside the 35-strong choir, Karen Lee-Morlang will once again provide her superb piano support. This performance will also include four section leads in solos: three in the Cantata by Kuhnau (originally attributed to Bach) and one in a haunting piece by Peter Warlock. Be sure to gather all your friends and family for this delightful and magical afternoon of well-known and knew-to-you tunes. And stay around after the show for a special Christmas gift: holiday treats, apple cider and a hearty carol singalong that will send you on your way with a festive spring in your step!
